Salmon gravlax
Impress your guests with a homemade Salmon Gravlax. This is a perfect starter which you make in advance, so you don’t spend too much time in the kitchen!
Ingredients
- 1 Salmon fillet
- 1 bunch dill
- 150 g grey salt
- 150 g table salt
- 100 g sugar
- 10 g fennel seeds
- 20 g cracked black pepper
- 2 lemon zest
- 2 oranges zest
Method
- Chop the dill and mix all the ingredients: dill, salt, sugar, fennel seeds, pepper and zest in a bowl
- Prepare the salmon fillets by removing the bones. Keep the skin on
- Cover the salmon with the dill mixture and keep in the fridge for 24h
- Remove the salmon from the fridge and rinse in cold water
- Put the fillet in a vacuum bag with a little olive oil and black pepper
- To serve, slice the salmon with the desired thickness. Serve with crème fraiche, lemon and bread
